Glorious day walking near Edale yesterday. I didn't run, but I did do enough up-and-down to make me ache, and I did fall over, spectacularly and hilariously, on sheet ice at the top of Grindsbrook.

Saw a couple of fell runners while we were on the ridge line - all lithe and alive. I do think spending time in the hills puts beauty into people's faces.

Wow... splendid... lucky you.

We stay in that area regularly in our camper-van and cycle all around there.. love Edale...Grindsbrook holds memories of soggy and boggy walks across Kinder, but on your pikkie it looks glorious!!!!!!!!!

Hope you didn't hurt yourself! :)

Haha, the bog was amazingly frozen AND muddy. But I did see hare prints up there on top of Kinder, so it was worth it :)

I was hiking up near baslow, chatsworth last week, not as high up as edale but gorgeous. Really puts colour in the cheeks ☺ Off hiking again tomorrow

Lovely photo TF ☺ Slipping is a certainty I think. No harm done though ey

Careful now... you might find yourself acquiring a companion stone hunting habit...

...or bumping into me and the dog.

Cheers all, and besides the beginnings of an impressively large bruise I am totally unscathed. Mr TF walloped a knee, so I think I got off lightly!

Looks beautiful, TTF.

I love the hills. Particularly in the winter.

Fabulous... we toyed with the idea of walking but went to Sheffield Butterfly House (not that near Sheffield, not primarily butterflies...) instead where my son said "They tell you not to touch the animals, but they don't tell the animals not to touch you" as a lemur sat on his shoulder. I thought it might help me make 10,000 steps for the day but it is so compact I didn't come close.

The evening before we went up to Middleton Moor for the starling murmuration. Again.

I am entirely envious of your-son-who-a-lemur-chose-to-sit-on! How gorgeous! (And I love a good murmuration. If dad's exasperated comments are to be believed, my mum is trying to create them in the front garden by generous use of seeds and fat balls)
