Morning!: Good morning all. So I am going to try... - Couch to 5K
Morning!
Go for it! I had to stop at wk 4 because of nasty Achilles issue back in early Nov and so itching to get back and hopefully another month might do it ( I did about 20 jogging steps this morning and ok but can still feel it so being patient - ish!). Enjoy!
Definitely stick to it. I started late October and about to start W9 this week. I didnβt always manage to run 3 times a week and last week I didnβt run at all but I love it. Take it slow and steady. Good luck

Enjoy your journey.
Hi !! Yes, you got this, you can stick to it! πͺ Just think of the reason/s why you are doing it, take it easy, go slow π and steady, enjoy the runs πββοΈand/or the happy proud feeling after completing them π and you will be fine! And as in life, not all runs will be the best run but you can always count on us to cheer for you!ππ Let us know how it goes π
Well that's the first run done. Enjoyed it, only thing is the app wouldn't play music? Anyone know how to get music playing on the nhs couch to 5k app? Feeling pleased with myself π
My secret is to get ready for your run as soon as you get home at night or get up in the morning. When the gear is on the mind knows the work needs to be done. Good luck π
It totally feels like the impossible, but it does get easier and is so worth it when you do that 5k - as part of the programme or as your first 'fun run'!
I've quit once and done the programme once so a mixed bag of success. For me it felt like I would never make it past the first few weeks, but suddenly it feels a little easier and you're running along thinking "i'll stop at the next lamp post, hmm, maybe the next one, maybe I can make it!"
Don't feel bad if you have to re-do weeks, go at your own pace and you will get there!!
I found that once I know what land marks I'm running between on a certain week/run, and which bits are walks, listening to an audio book or music helps to occupy my mind & the time goes much more quickly
