So week 7 took me a month for various reasons and today I did 12 8 and 5 min sections , and really struggled so decided to go back to week 6.
Has anyone else had this issue cos today was really bad

Sometimes a run is tough for no apparent reason... sometimes we can find one, I was dehydrated, I didn’t sleep well, I ate too much last night etc etc, sometimes we can’t, the run just sucked... but it was still a run, it still added fitness and strength to us, we still end the run better than we started it... so it’s all good even if it doesn’t feel it at the time.
If there’s a reason then correct it for next time, if there isn’t, chalk it up to just a sucky run... the next one is generally much smoother.
It doesn’t matter how long it takes to get to the end of the plan... it’s your journey and the most important thing is health and fitness, followed by enjoyment, and for some times and paces become important, but really they’re not... so if you feel a need to go back a week then that’s ok.,, and it’s maybe what you need to then go forwards after a long week 7? If it’s just one sucky run, then there’s a good chance you can just rerun it and never look back. Whatever you choose to do is correct, it’s all about you. Happy running.
Yes I got the end of week 6 fine and feeling good, started W7 and the first run nearly killed me. Crushed my confidence. My leg hurt where it broke in summer and something told me I wasn’t ready for 25 mins. So I went back to my own “week 6½“ and did a 15 minute run with 2 rest days then a 20 minute run outdoors (first one -getting braver!) and then restarted w7 yesterday. And it went well. Give yourself a few shorter rubs to help stamina and then go for it again!
