Not pretty in many ways

I’m slightly off schedule this week as I’ve been busy. I don’t usually run on a Wednesday but got going for Week 6 run 2 while my son was at boxing (😱). Not a great setting and it was very windy but I got the job done and feeling pleased with myself now. 25mins at the weekend!! Happy running everyone 👍

The scenery may not have been there, but the run was beautiful... you found the time, you got out there and got the job done, that’s just perfect.

Enjoy run 3

Thank you, I will. Sorry you’re injured 🙁

Well done Molly on completing week 6 run 2 in the dark, that is the last run with some walking intervals, the above photo looks like you were passing a petrol station at the side of a busy road, onwards and upwards to run 3 of week 6 which is the first of 4/25 minute runs.

Gosh, I hadn’t thought about it being the last run with walking intervals! The road was busy but well-lit and the petrol station is now car sales. Not ideal but I felt safe, which was the main thing 👍

I’ll see how I feel later, the weather is due to clear up around 21:00-22:00 ish here

W6R2 for me too, if I can do this tonight, it means I can do run3 on Friday before work, I have my daughter Friday eve to Sunday so that rules most of weekend out 🤞

Well done for braving it 👍

Thank you. It was ok really, a lot milder than it has been. I don’t think I would be happy to run that late myself. Enjoy your weekend 😊

Plan B..

I’ve just had my tea, so perhaps I’ll run when it dries up tomorrow :)

Not very dry here in Yorkshire today 🙁

I did it this morning

And stretched it out to 5k (don’t tell unfitnomore, I’ll get told off)

In the 33 app minutes I got 4.59k

It was more of a swim than a run, the heavens opened on my warm up walk, but I couldn’t get any wetter so I carried on, 3rd best time for me even into gale force winds on StAnnes prom.

Can’t believe I did it

My big run will hopefully be Sunday night now

Well done! So did you run 5k or keep going with intervals? I don’t always track my runs but did last night and despite the weather I upped my pace a little!?

I kept with intervals, so I’m gradually building up the pace but keeping the walks :)

I always run with my Garmin on

I’m using my Fitbit. I think I’ll track all my runs now. My pace is scarily slow but the walking does make it trickier to tell. Now the intervals have finished I’m hoping it’ll make more sense.

I’ve been including the warm up/warm down walks too, but I think when I get to the 30 min runs I’ll just count the run :)

Good on you for squeezing them in when you can! Now the dark nights are here I am trying to get them in as and when I can, no real routine other than not two days in a row. Onwards towards the 30 min run!

Hi Molly, I did the same run at 6:30 this morning, it was similar weather conditions.

I keep thinking how nice it will be on a sunny light day.

Indeed! By the lovely spring weather we’ll be experienced graduates! I’m thinking about how much easier it’ll be then too. Well done in getting out so early in such awful weather 👍

Well done Molly. I'm just a little ahead of you. Done 2nd run W7. I was sure apprehensive about the 25mins but i went slowly and it was ok. It's a great feeling knowing you are so far through the program. Only 10 runs to graduation!
