Been doing my local park run for 11 weeks now, I've volunteered to help out this Saturday, really looking forward to supporting the runners and supporting them from beginning to end they way I've been.

Planning to do my own 5K after park run finished x

Hi Piglet! I did my 3rd local parkrun last week and volunteered for setup. My two kittens helped doing teas and barcode scanning. Mrs Katnap also did setup.

Next Saturday we are all doing setup AND running! No doubt we will probably help with put away at the end.

I'm sure you'll have a great time! Just remember to wrap up ⛅☔❄⛄🌀

😸

I heard that about 10% who do parkrun volunteer.

We are the one in ten! 😸

Well done for volunteering Piglet. You’ll love it almost as much as running I’m sure! I certainly do. I’m trying to volunteer once a month and it feels great to give back, and I love encouraging the other runners!

I wonder what role you’ll be given? My favourite so far has been barcode scanning! 👍

HI Piglet7969 that's fantastic.

I'll be doing my very first park run in December. I don't think I'd be completing my c25k by then. I'm wondering if I would be allowed to take my c25k app and just make it another workout for me. Right now I'm on week 3. I think if my calculations are correct I'll be around week 6 for the park run.

Thanks! I wasn't too sure. I really want to do this, and already registered. So no backing out now! :)

Fabulous 👏 you are a hero of parkrun, there’s a very lovely free volunteer t-shirt once you’ve volunteered 25 times......I’m very proud of mine...

Go you!

Go Piglet! You will love it! I have been marshal a couple of times - fun but can get chilly - and tail walker, which is fab! Well done for volunteering, wish more people would - they are often short on volunteers at our local PR.
