Any recommendation on watches? I see alot of people have Garmins.
Any advice?

Garmin are the GPS experts, while I don’t have their watches I do have a few of their etrex walking devices and they’ve all been excellent... had a problem with one when I lived down south and when their support knew how local I was they met me at their offices and swapped my unit out right there in reception, so as a company I love them!
I have a Garmin vivosport and love it.
It does more than the sales assistant told me it would (I think he wanted to upsell me!)
I love the intervals and HR zone thresholds I can set for running. And the built in GPS never loses me on a run, whereas with using apps on my phone it kept dropping, resulting in stats showing me as running crazy impossible fast when it found me again.
It enrolls me in step challenges, monitors the quality of my sleep, and even tells me when DH is ringing me on a run to find out how long I'll be I can also 'share' my run live with anyone if I go out in the dark and they want to keep tabs on me.
What do you want it to do?
Garmin 235 here. Really good running watch, smart watch style notifications from the phone etc. Recommended.
I've just this week upgraded from a Fitbit Charge to a Garmin Vivoactive 3 (£80 off on Amazon this week), mainly because my poor old eyes are struggling to read the display on the fitbit - the garmin has a bigger clearer screen.
Loving the garmin, though still figuring out everything it can do. Being a bit anal, I'm wearing both watches at the moment to compare stats, and also using a running app on my phone, to see if there are major differences in the figures (I know, weird). Both watches are giving pretty much the same info, though the garmin consistently gives a lower heart rate, don't know why, or which is correct!
The Garmin Forerunner is cheaper than the Vivoactive, and does pretty much the same stuff - I just preferred the look of the Vivoactive as it looks more like a normal watch rather than an out and out running watch.
But now's the time to buy - loads of bargains out there!
I’m going for an Apple Watch... trying to bribe my hubby to let me have it as an early Christmas present
I've got the forerunner 35. Cheaper than the 235 but less pretty. I only wear it for running as I have my Swiss Railway watch for normal use!
Hi I started with a huawei proband 2 as it was the cheapest band with gps, and I thought it was good.
But I got a Garmin 235 about three months ago and wish I had got it right at the start.
There is so much that it can do, and when I have been stuck trying to set up a workout or changing the data fields there has been a video explaining it on youtube.
