Has anyone used the Garmin forerunner 15 watch?
Any good for a novice runner?
Many thanks

It's brilliant.
Love mine but you will need a pc to synch it with. ☺
I've been using the vivoactive since I started C25k, and it's superb.
I found it was a little more versatile than some of the forerunners - I.e. For cycling and swimming.
I have one and it has all the features I need. I occasionally have problems with it getting a GPS signal at the start of the run and have 1-2k before it locks on. That might be a common issue or might be something odd with my particular watch. I've not tried others to find out.
I have had a garmin 610 for a couple of years now. I love it while I am out running but have had various issues with it & overall would not recommend the one I have. First of all it would not sync with my computer at all (I use a Mac) then the strap broke (the pin came out) and the jeweller can't fix it so it's now held on with tape & now to top it all off I'm having battery life issues so it turns itself on & off during a run. My advice would be to look very carefully at reviews from people who have had these things a while before you purchase anything!
Have a Garmin 210, generally it works well and locks on OK but very occasionally it goes haywire and tracks my run in places I haven't been😵 lol, but is still good
I'm a very new runner with only my 2nd 5K this morning. Still run/walking. I did research on lots of running watches and decided on the FitBit Surge. Course I have been using FitBit > 2 years so had that program in place. But, for me, I found the Surge offered all I wanted for much less money. I got mine through Amazon and it was only $170 because Amazon offered me $80 if I opened a credit card with them. Paid off the card and now will be closing it. Surge is easy to use, heart monitor is on wrist and not chest strap and has GPS. The only down side is it most definitely looks like a clunky sports watch.
Good luck deciding.
Polar M400 for me, and I really like it. Unlike some other watches it keeps track of heart rate zones and speed zones, with the ability to set up multi-phase slow-fast repeats like in the C25K.
Ive got a Garmin 10 and it is very easy to use. Sometimes takes a while to find gps but I usually put it on while I am getting ready to go out. It gives me all the data I need
I have the Garmin Forerunner 15 that I use with a couple of other Garmins. They all do a good job. The only issue that I've had is the time it takes to locate satellites.
