I did. My sister in law who does ultra marathons swears by hers. She's got a 235 which are very reasonable now.

I splashed out for the 645M as I wanted it to hold music too so I didn't need my phone with me all the time. There's a lot of functions I don't use but I use it 24/7 for steps, sleep, running, cycling, cardio etc.

I did tons of research before I bought mine. I'm happy with it though. 👍😁

Yes and yes. Got a Forerunner 235 a few months ago after having a Fitbit Blaze previously and it’s great. App isn’t as slick as Fitbit and watch is a bit plasticky but beyond that I can’t fault it. Does everything I need and lots more things I didn’t know I needed. And the range is massive so you can get a decent GPS watch for not much right up to something space age for a small fortune. Definitely worth a look in my book.

I love my FR235

Got it a few weeks ago. Highly recommend and decent price on Amazon. Other retailers are available (snow and rock were 70 quid more expensive!)

I use my Fitbit Charge 2 on a daily basis, but got myself a running watch as well: Garmin Forerunner 35. Really pleased with it.

I am poor so bought the Garmin forerunner 10 on graduation. It is really good. I don’t care what my heart rate is or cadence etc etc. The f10 tells me how far how fast and I can pre set a lap pace to follow. It has auto pause too

When the run is downloaded it tells me elevation and weather, my map and splits It cost £80 🙂

For my marathon I bought the supposed longer life battery Garmin forerunner 15. Wish I’d not bothered as the battery life was no longer than the 10

Couldnt you have taken the phone back? Or maybe there is something wrong with your new watch?

Lots of people swear by them, lots don't. I'm a Polar bear now, having had endless problems with Garmin. There's quite a lot of noise around the internet about the optical HRM on the Garmin 235 being much less accurate than the traditional chest strap. If that's a concern, it's worth checking out in detail. Otherwise, all of these devices do pretty much the same stuff. Garmins look nice too :-)

I have the basic Forerunner 10 and love it. I don't care about HR, just want to know my distance and pace and it does that just fine. I feel naked if running without it. I still run with my phone so I can have my music and Runkeeper tracking my route and stats but I like to have the ability, with a quick wrist check, to ensure I'm not running too fast and to see how far I've gone or need to go without having Runkeeper give me audio cues which just tend to annoy me.

I’ve been researching too. Wanted a watch that means I can leave my phone at home so wanted something I can play music with too. Last night I came across the apple phone 3 series with gps and cellular. I think it’s the watch if my dreams 😂 can take calls, text, everything with no phone! Also can stream music. Spotify is coming to it soon. I’ve ordered mine ❤️ £££ 😳 Has HR monitor and the apps I currently use are compatible. Very excited 😊
