First run since July. Restarted the couch to 5k programme. This is my 4th time starting and not completing it. I feel like my breathing is a little better then the last time I started which is good. Forgot how hard it is to breathe in the cold. My face is very chilly. But I am very pleased that I dusted off my ultra boost and reflectors. Roll on Thursday!! 💪🏻🏃🏻♀️

It’s the breathing that got me to start with!! Think it was coming out my ears in W1 😂. I find breathing long and hard (if that makes sense) even make a noise! It slows the heart down and doesn’t cause you to panic and stop 👍. Just don’t stop breathing 😂👌

I found the more I thought about breathing in the early stages of this programme, the harder it got to run or breathe! So I stopped thinking about it and concentrated on running..
Now I'm further along and not having to concentrate so hard on keeping moving, I've noticed that my breathing is slower and regular and timed exactly as Laura said it should be. So my thinking is that, as one gets fitter and more proficient at running, the breathing just falls into place.
So, don't worry about breathing, just do it! Run slowly and all will come together in the end.
