W8R1 disappointing

Just returned from this run, 1st time I have had to stop to walk part way (at about 22 minutes) I changed my route, which meant more hills, hills and I are not friends ๐Ÿ˜‚ then tried again but just couldnโ€™t run up the hill, so for last 5 mins I fast walked.

So should I carry on with run and stick to usual route as itโ€™s flat? Or do W7 again and build up more stamina?

Noooo don't go backwards. I wouldn't, but my running spots have no hills! Just try a flatter location. Hills are evil!

Keep it simple...if you have flat..use it.I would if I could..๐Ÿ˜‰

Plenty of time for embracing the hills...

Do the usual route and enjoy the rest of the running to the podium.

Well done you...๐Ÿ˜Š

Absolutely no need to go back to W7 Lansdown. Just run W8R1 again on a more friendly route and enjoy it. Your goal is to reach W9R3 and get up on that podium. Why make it unnecessarily hard for yourself? Youโ€™ll have all the time in the world to introduce yourself to hills (or not!) afterwards!

Good luck! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks, I will do that, staying with my daughter on weds, so will try a new route then, on the flat๐Ÿ˜‚

Flat is good, especially having been subjected to demon hills! ๐Ÿ˜…

Bloody hills! Iโ€™d say go back to the old route and carry on with week 8.

I see hills as an extension of the run, one of my local parkruns has some and I estimate that I need to be doing 7k flat to run all of it.
