Too long warm up time?

After having completed week 4 I was thinking about the next week (8 min running😱!) and I need your opinion...

I usually start with a quite long walking time (15 min) before starting with the normal program (because I like to go quite far from home!); the question is: this habit could be a problem when the running time increase? What is your opinion or normal routine?

No harm on having to start 15 minutes or just over a mile from home, better to run in a park than on roads. As the runs get longer it might mean just going round the park several times.

That’s fine... 5 minutes brisk is a minimum really... I sometimes stroll to the park then go brisk for 5 and then run, now it’s colder I brisk walk all the way there and then run 😂

No problem with a bit longer warm up, some take longer to warmup anyway, I do, especially in the colder weather..
