Go N-T-G, go - you can do it (you're 7 years younger than me) good luck and well done for getting your head into the place where you want to do it :)

Welcome NtG ! You’re going to love it here. Most of the time anyway ! Just bear in mind that fat is lighter than muscle, so don’t panic if your scales don’t seem too excited by your progress at first. Muscle burns calories much better than fat, so stick with it and it’ll all come right in the end !

Welcome to the forum.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Motivation has to come from you but it is fact that being active and losing weight will reduce your statistical likelihood of suffering from a whole host of life limiting conditions.......heart disease, diabetes, circulation problems, stroke etc. etc. It will also boost your self esteem and improve your mood and mental well-being.

Enjoy your journey.

Welcome to the forum NTG. You will find unerring support and advice in this forum. It’s genuinely staggering how much support you get on here. Let us know about all of your runs, the good, the bad and the great. There will be a mixed bag. You are embarking on one hell of a journey and it is worth every second of it. One word of advice, when you go for your first run, don’t take off like usain bolt and sprint. You are aiming for a light jog, just above a walking pace. Keep it slow and steady 😀
