First Runthrough - any advice?

So, I’m about to start week 7 (I know!) and rather rashly, I have just signed up to a Runthrough run (like Parkrun but you pay £18 and get a medal - IF you finish!).

Chose Runthrough over Parkrun just because it is in my local park, but now I’m worried. Are they friendly? Does it matter if I run the pace of a very slow person pretending to be a snail? Any advice for a newbie?

Eep well done completing week 6, you know going in to week 7 that you’ve got this!! You’ve got 3 of the same run now! You are smashing this marchhare! Can’t advise on the above, I’m not brave enough for group running yet, I’m sure it’ll be grand though and that you will get a shiny 🏅🏅🏅

Just had a look... while they do water and a snack, they run like parkrun in that you share the route with other park users so, while pretty much all such runs are inclusive, this one I think will be even more so... there will be some gazelles, there always are, but it’s more aimed at the fun brigade I think.

As for finishing, why not? You may or may not be able to run 5k by then, but you’ll know how far you can run by then so just do what you can with some walk breaks.

The main thing is to have fun.
