Breakfast

I’m a newbie to this adventure, am on week 2 and just completed run 1. I struggled with sections 1 & 2 and then got into the swing of things but wondered maybe I hadn’t eaten correctly beforehand as I just ate a banana instead of my usual (porridge with fruit, nuts etc). Was conscious not to over eat and then run but maybe I didn’t eat enough. Please can someone advise?

Banana is pretty much the go to breakfast for those who eat at all before the run. Usually nothing for a couple of hours before a run unless it’s easy to digest, like the banana!

Hi InvoiceQueen, I prefer to run just out of bed in the morning. I drink a glass of water and eat a tablespoon of honey and I go.

It happened that I run late in the morning after having had my usual abundant breakfast and it did not work because I felt weighed down, even if there had been at least 2 hours.

I believe, however, that everything is very personal.
