Jealousy isn't always an ugly characteristic!

Jealous of Unfitnomore's 'easy 5k' recently I decided to try one of those for myself.

I took the streets this evening, enjoying the pleasant temperature of 10°C (In November!!! 🀯) and slowed it right down! And then down even more!

Still worked up a sweat but wasn't breathing much heavier than when I climb a couple of flights of stairs at work! Very happy with my breathing progress since W1R1! 😊

Didn't get slightest hint of the toxic 10, that made a change from Saturdays PR! 😩

Still hate street running, too many dark spots between street lights, was very lucky not to sprawl when I tripped on a kerb!

So yeah, easy 5k was possible, jealousy can be beautiful!

Happy Mondays!

Hehe... aren’t they the best runs? Easy pace easy run... I love em! Finding your slow will make you a better runner in the long term... good job.

Has my legs ache a little from running for longer, but then they ached from pushing too hard at PR anyway! Having said that, they used to ache after W1.... Not sure whether I'm getting stronger or just older? 🀣

But honestly UNM, it just shows how that one phrase in your post had an effect on another runner, so I thank you for that πŸ‘πŸ»

No worries... tomorrow I’m on a tempo run, so that won’t be as much fun, but then I do get another easy pace one on Thursday as my reward!

The aches will go... they’re a good sign.

Not sure how they're a good sign but I'll believe you because a) I want them to go & b) you haven't lied to me before🀞

πŸ˜‚ they’re ready to heal and strengthen... you’ll feel it when you go longer or faster mainly

Well done Uncle W! That’s how I run too, nice and slowly and not having to worry about my breathing much at all it generally makes for a very enjoyable run. Glad you enjoyed yours! πŸ‘πŸƒ

Thanks cheeky, wish my legs could catch up with my lungs! It is really nice to run when the breathing is right. Weeks ago I couldn't understand how you guys could just keep going on longer distances, then the penny just drops light πŸ’‘ happy days!
