Not sure what happened today! My legs felt heavy and I could hear every step like a thud! Also my shins were burning and aching.

I still achieved and I feel better for completing it!!

Any ideas anyone??

Hydration? Too fast? Foot not landing under your body? Shoes? Several other things it could be too.

woop! well done completing. good luck with run 3! do try to drink more water that may help with the legs, also are you stretching, that seems to help with the heaviness in my legs, there are also some shin stretches if you have a little search for them online. Keep rocking it :D

Hi,

Sorry it was a typo week6 run1! I am running, run 2 tonight! I will try more fluids (not my strong point) I also don’t normally stretch due to the warm up walk beforehand so I will try that two. Been a bit deflated since that run so I am hoping tonight reminds me of how good I normally feel.

Fluids are super important so really try to up your game if you know it’s not a strong point. We all have rubbish runs, the best thing is getting back out there and trying again. Invariably the run is better the next time. Run 1 had me in a proper temper tantrum in week 6, it seems to catch a lot of people out. The second run is better because there is only one interval. You’ve got this. 😀😀😀
