Finally...a graduate

It has taken me 11 weeks due to general life but I have done it! It still never feels easy but I have to remind myself that I thought I was going to die during my first minute of running. Also up until at least week 6 my legs aches like mad the day after each run. So I know I have made massive progress. Also I am

not able to do 5k in 30 minutes but I know that isn’t the main goal.

I hope I can build running 3x week into my life now and start to really enjoy it - both of those aims are big challenges!

Would it be an unwise backward step to aim for 3x 20 minutes runs or 2x 30 minute runs a week?

Lastly where do I register as a graduate??

Look to the pinned posts for your graduation badge. Best thing to do now is consolidate with 3 runs a week for a while. Shorter is fine, you can mix it up a bit.

Congratulations.

Thanks SlowLoris. I really do want to keep up running and not lose what I have built up.

Many congratulations on your graduation fellow runner.

This guide to post C25K running may be helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

As the above guide states, it is recommended that you do 150 minutes of heart rate raising exercise each week. How you arrive at that is down to your preferences.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Very helpful. I am going to try smiling more and enjoying the beauty of the woodland I am running in instead of counting off the minutes and looking forward to the end of the run!
