What is more accurate? Fitbit or MapMyRun?

I used the gps tracker on the fitbit app on my phone to monitor my run this morning and it told me I did 3.42 miles. But when I plot the same route on MapMyRun it tells me I have covered significantly less distance. Has anyone any words of wisdom?

I use MMR and it’s pretty spot on for me judging by the measured 5k parkrun distance. 😀

I've just checked it against another run and it seems quite accurate. Maybe my fitbit was throwing a tantrum today?!
