Despite much trepidation, I did it -20 min run without stopping! Earlier posts gave me the confidence to go for it and it was nothing like as hard as I expected. Tried C25K 2 years ago and gave up when my knees started hurting. This time I had been doing Pilates and Legs Tums and Bums before I started and so far so good. I am continuing with strengthening exercises as well as running and I feel confident this is the key to staying injury free. I'm 71 and have done little running or aerobic exercise in the past - so if I can do it, anyone can. PS. I feel great, more physical and mental energy. I look forward to my run. Whether I will when the weather turns nasty, remains to be seen

I'm definitely feeling the benefit of getting a dog and walking with her 6 or 7 km a day before I started C25K again. What was a struggle before, with lots of stiff muscles and sore tendons has been a breeze. Wrap up warm, avoid the rain when possible and the weather won't stop you - good luck!
