It’s cold out there !

I live in Gibraltar it’s humid and not very cold. This week I’m in Edinburgh and it’s 1 degree and the grass is all frosty😳

This has been a bit of a shock to my system. I have completed the last 6 weeks in short leggings and a vest and now I’m wearing a long sleeved top. It has these holes for your thumbs so you can attempt to keep your hands warm. I’m also wearing a buff round my ears. However, I’ve managed two very chilly runs beside the canal, I’ve seen squirrels,moorhens and swans and I don’t feel half as sweaty as usual so I’m really excited for week 8😆

By the time I reach the half way bell I’m toasty warm!

I’ve got another couple of weeks here so I’m glad I brought my kit with me. I never thought I’d be able to graduate whereas now I’ve asked for a Fitbit for my 51st birthday so I can carry on after graduating 🙌🏻

I find my Garmin vivoactive hr watch is a brilliant motivator tool and full of info too, when I feel like I can’t be bothered, it’s there to remind me what I should be doing, it maps my walks/runs brilliantly too

Well done on carrying on in the cold! I’m just back from 2 weeks in Barbados where I was running in 24 degree heat. This morning is my first run since coming home and I didn’t really enjoy it. I may have to get a buff too - my little ears are bright red now. I look like an elf 😝
