To the tune of “Happy Birthday to You”:
It’s a run day for you
So put on that shoe
And lace up the other
Cause one will not do.
It’s a run day again,
It feels like a pain,
But get out and do it
Cause you know it’s all gain 😄

Superb...a runner after my own heart..just wait until you start doing the running themed words to Christmas songs. 😉
Love this!
I was singing along with the happy birthday tune BCK, really good and very poetic. It doesn't need to be what you wrote at rhe end of the sixth line. Remember to wrap up well when out running for the forthcoming cold snap when you go out there and do (run) it.
Brilliant - you are so clever! I had a vision of you setting out with one shoe off and one shoe on, then realising what you'd done!
Nah, you're mixing it up with:
Diddle diddle dumpling, my son John
Went to bed with his trousers on.
One shoe off, and one shoe on;
Diddle diddle dumpling, my son John.
All those rhymes with you and the subject is running... and no mention of dog products on the trail! Well done.
🤣🤣🤣 this is great, who said our runs should be slow enough to maintain a conversation? Let’s sing along 🎵🎶🎵🎶
Love your contributions to this forum! Will be watching for the day you decide to break into week 2!
