Wasn't in the best frame of mind for this today, was a bit peeved about something (work related) and thought the run would be a good way to de-stress on it.

Instead I attacked the run to challenge myself and tried to pick up the pace for the first mile. I felt fine at the end of that mile & took it down a notch as I took the long uphill back from the roundabout but it had a knock on effect that I came to regret. It wasn't particularly to set any targets or anything I think I just wanted to pound the ground a bit to ease my frustration.

Rest of the run I felt pretty knackered and nauseous , lacking energy and probably for the first time since I started, praying for the 25 mins to be done with. I'm proud that I still managed to finish it, after 15 minutes or so I had my doubts but I was reckless and pretty stupid. It was after 11 and I'd still not eaten either, so I'm giving myself a dunces hat for today ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Maybe subconsciously I wanted a bad run, something new to use as a yardstick will never know. Soooo much more enjoyable when you have something left in the tank to end with, and I really don't care now if I only run half a mile on Friday, I'm taking it back to the original approach and finding that natural pace again.

Well done for finishing it despite lack of fuel in your tank. Good luck with your more natural pace next time!

Hi neighbour! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Yeah it can be tricky to find new routes that avoid them. If you find any nice ones don't hesitate to let me know! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Your fingers are still working so its not all bad.

We've probably all taken things out on ourselves from time to time.

This has reminded you to be good to yourself.

Hah well put! Yep feel fine now thankfully. Those final 10 minutes definitely felt like an hour at one point, but looking forward now to putting things right on Friday ๐Ÿคž
