Hi everyone. Just introducing myself. I’m currently starting week 3 of couch to 5k. I’ve never run in my life! But I’ve surprised myself that I’m actually doing it! And.... I’m enjoying it. It’s prob going to take me longer than 9 weeks to do the 5k but I don’t care. Onwards and upwards 👍
Hello: Hi everyone. Just introducing myself. I’m... - Couch to 5K
Hello
Hello Rose - welcome and well done! You've madea great start. Don't worry about how long it takes, just "trust the programme" (you'll hear that a LOT!) and follow the instructions. Take it slow and steady, keep having proper warm ups, cool downs and rest days and of course some decent footwear and you will be absolutely fine. You're in safe hands and you already know about the feeling of achievement you'll have as you tick off each landmark. I start W9 on Tuesday (I work best with a routine so I can plan ahead) and can't believe that I've got this far with no aches, pains or drama. It really is a great way to feel good about yourself.
Take it easy!
Hi Rosetattoo, it sounds like you’re doing amazingly well! Enjoy week 3! 🙌🎉 I’m the same as you, I’m going to take longer than 30mins to run 5k... but I don’t care either! Onwards & upwards we go! Once we graduate I’m sure we’ll make it to 5k given time... & then who knows what we’ll do, the sky’s the limit 💫✨
welcome.
9 weeks... 59 weeks... the end result is you running... that changes and extends your life... so don’t think this is a race, it’s just a means to an end. Great job so far... keep going and keep enjoying it... take this challenge down.
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
