No gadgets to record my distance etc - anyone recommend a Fitbit ? Not too expensive for an OAP ! Would just like to be able to monitor my progress. Thanks

If you're taking your phone on runs, and you just want to keep track of speed and distance, any of the free apps like Runtastic will do that if you remember to turn on location on your phone. They also track progress too.

I don’t know anything about fitbits but I just use the free version of Mapmyrun on my phone. I have a comfy & inexpensive running belt, (freeto from Amazon) to keep the phone, key & tissue in. 😄

Have a look at ebay; these gadgets are often bought with the best intentions and then not used very much.....

I have a Fitbit and really like the way you can keep all your fitness & health habits together in one app. Even though I run on a treadmill, the Fitbit is still great and is pretty accurate. I can see the improvement in my performance as it tells you how long you have been in fatburn/cardio/peak for the run.
