Good morning to all you lovely guys and gals out there,

Woke up this morning and decided that I am the CEO of my own life and my body. Put on my running gear, cotton socks and running shoes then at 05:45 this morning off I went. Plugged in my Bluetooth and turned Laura on. What a fabulous running mate she is.

The moment I started listening to the happy boppy beat I completed 5 minutes fast walking then Hey Presto the half an hour was over before I knew it.

Safety First mind. Instead of running in the local park which at this time of the morning might have been unsafe for a lone woman with bluetooth earpieces. I felt personally safer jogging on the well lit main roads. At that time of the morning I was pleasantly surprised to see people off to work, a bit of traffic on the roads and a fellow jogger who was also running.

Better still ... the lifts are out of action at work so will have no choice but to climb three flights of stairs to get to my office. Well, hang on, that sounds like fate has dealt me a very kind helping hand, eh?

Took the stairs when I left work last night and will not miss the lifts one jot. The same way I will not miss eating Coffee and Walnut Gateau or Victoria Sponge slices of cake.

I read a lovely uplifting post from someone yesterday who is thinking exactly the same way as me. She wants to lose quite a bit of weight by Christmas, so do I.

So as from now I have become my own personal CEO who wants to ruthlessly sack everything in my path which will hinder me from losing the excess weight and getting much fitter and slimmer by Christmas.

Red Foods such as cakes, biscuits, alcohol, sugary snacks, crisps and flapjacks have already been fired from my Boardroom. I have the mindset of a would-be slender runner who will pound the streets of Bath and one fine day will be able to achieve the 5K challenge and run for 30 minutes. Wow, that will be an accomplishment in itself, eh?

Slow Running is better than No Running. Feeling slim, fit and healthy will be so much better than eating packets of crisps and those slices of gateaux, cakes and sponges.

Right now I feel so happy, I feel I will conquer my quest to lose weight and allow all my clothes to feel much more comfortable. My legs are tingling quite nicely from my morning Slow Run and my heart was thumping to a good rhythm when I was doing it.

Just about to get ready for my breakfast of porridge, raisins and a small banana. Looking forward to getting breathless again when I climb the three flights of stairs when I get to work.

Have a lovely day everyone and will touch base with you again on Friday when it will be W1R3 ... yippee, I am already looking forward to it.

Take care everyone.

What a powerful positive post!!! Well done for deciding to do c25k and BIG congratulations on getting in control of your mind and body!

Looks like a very merry christmas for you! 🌲🎄🤹‍♀️

I wish i could run so early in the morning... i feel i don't have my strength awake at that time! Very wise to run on the main road!

This is a magical journey you've embarked on so...

Happy running!

And keep us pisted on your progress!

With that attitude you are going to smash this!

Is it Victoria Park you run in? I can imagine that could be a bit scary in the dark, but beautiful in the day

Great post from you Chataholic, very positive thoughts that you are now the chief CEO of your life, nice that you saw that other runner this morning although he might have wondered why you were walking and starting so much, he did not know that you were on W1R2 of C25K which involves 6 or 7 walking breaks. For you to start now means that in 9 weeks when you graduate, that will be just before Christmas, what a wonderful Christmas present to yourself that will be, good luck for the rest of your running journey with C25K.

Well done for having such a posistve mindset. I also made this decision 6 weeks ago. I'm now on week 5 Run 3 and about to smash 20 mins running. I've lost 10.5lb in this time and already feel better. I have another 2 stone to lose but I'm on the right path now and loving life so by Christmas I will have finished C25K and hopefully be running 30 mins three times a week which should also help me reach my goals. Im loving running, it's so good for uplifting my spirits! Enjoy your journey x

It’s a fab programme. A life changer. As long as you complete it that is

Keep going alongside your healthy eating and you won’t believe what you can do to your health. Lots of running activities in and around Bath! 😃👍
