Hello, My name is ThunderSloth and I think I’m a runaholic.
I can’t stop thinking about it... I’m getting obsessed! I get a bit excited when I see other runners on my daily commute, I even give them a cheer as I pass them on the road, please tell me I’m not the only one who does this??? Obviously I’m also checking out footfall, arm positioning, general running technique and also eyeing up any interesting gear that they may be sporting, whenever I get the opportunity.

First run on Sunday I took a new route and intentionally kept a nice slow Sunday pace, it felt quite exciting covering a new route again and even after a bit of dog hurdling at one point it all amounted to a very enjoyable 25 mins run - no problemo!

Tuesday morning first thing was a mild start and I warmed up very quickly. I’d correctly chosen tshirt and shorts for today. I did see another runner In a chunky knit wooly hat and thick fleece top, she did adjust her hat and enviously eyeballed me up and down as we passed in the darkness, it must've been some sort torturous weight loss plan or something… I cannot imagine how uncomfortable that run must’ve felt for her. I did pick up the pace to a comfortable level on this run and it felt brilliant towards the end. A slightly mis-judged step down from the kerbside gave me a good warning shot to chill out a bit and I slowed the pace down for the remaining five minutes. I traveled the furthest distance that I’ve run so far on this particular run, 4.25K.

I finished the final 25 minute run first thing today, found a good pace bang smack in the middle of runs one and two. I'm starting to be able to drift off in my own thoughts now, something that I haven't been able to do up until now. Switching on the autopilot and taking a back seat - feels good.
I’ve also started to use the Nike Training Club app alongside the Nike Run Club app for my rest day exercises - its brilliant! It has set me up a nice little plan to use alongside my running to work on strength and balance etc, Going through the exercises on the iPhone was a wee bit awkward... but I’ve now worked out a nifty little way of getting it onto my TV so I can do the workouts in the living room - happy days!
I hope everyone is enjoying some good runs this week, looks like we'll be getting a drop of the wet stuff over the next few days...
Definitely, absolutely, completely and utterly addicted to running. I'm a runaholic too. I lie in bed planning my next run, I cheer people on that I see out running, I buy running magazines, and basically bore my family to death talking about running. Happy running 🙂🎉🌻
Well done for getting that off your chest Gran4z, you sound like you might be a stage or so ahead I’ve not bought a running magazine yet... but now you mention it... I could do with another method of consuming running information...
You didn't happen to be running near me, did you? I left the house in way too much gear and regretted it 2 minutes into the warm up walk. Haha.
I find myself having to try and steer away from the conversation of couch to 5k or I can go on and on...so I come here instead. I'm only on week 4 so god help me once I reach week 7.
Ooh! 😲 you nearly got me there, that would’ve been awkward! I did spot a whisp of blonde hair that had escaped from the woollen tea cosy on top of her head so I can safely say it wasn’t you!
I know, I nearly have to put my hand over my mouth at work now so I don’t go on about it too much 🤓 We’re all safe here though, go on about it as much as you like to us 😂
Thundersloth... You are amazing! Love that you’re checking out other runners! I do exactly the same!🤣
Well done on completing week 7!
Covering 4.25 is awesome!
All the best for week 8! 🙌🏃♂️💪🏅

We’ve got this... & We’re in it for the long haul! 🙌🔥💪
Ha! Loved this post! Your definitely giddy with running!!!
I always wonder if any runners I encounter are doing c25k and what week they are on!! Then check out their running gear 🤗
You've definitely had a fab week 7! And your covering a great amount of ground too-well done ✅ Best bit is relaxing into the run and going on autopilot for a while to get lost in thoughts (of other runners by the sounds of it) 😆😆
I know... totally giddy! Thank you Marica, yes I love it when I can switch off - the perfect stress reliever. Glad to hear I'm not the only one checking out other runners! Cant wait to see your graduation post! ...not long now!
Guilty too. I check out the gear, i wonder if they're walking or in between runs, i think and talk about my runs (if anyone listens) and plan my next run when finished. This is why i love this community. And i am NOT a fan of 'communities' normally!! But this is great!
I already knew that you are a runaholic Mayanow! You can feel the excitement in your posts 🎉😍Yes, I spot that too and wonder if they are doing intervals. This is an amazing community, so positive and so supportive, hope you're ok x
I am well thank you! Came back from belgium yesterday. Very tired but determined to go out and run later 😁
I missed my 2nd run there unfortunately - couldn't fit it in... but that's ok! I was seeing friends and doing happy things and that's life's 'stretching', right? 😉
Sounds great Mayanow, you've been busy, so the running can fit around life when it suits you. I do like the stretching analogy! - so true! Glad to hear you're well 🤗❤️
