Started c25k in feb and absolutely loved it. Never actually graduated as i was running 5k by week 7.
In june i pulled something deep inside my leg and have taken 3 months off to heal. Started back on day 1 C25k to ease myself back into it and to try and avoid injury.
Point to my story is im loving getting back in to it,cant wait to go back to Park Run and my advice to others is listen to your body try not to over do it and enjoy yourself.

Good advice. I've started again from the beginning after a long injury break and I'm feeling good all over again. It's been a lot easier this time, I banked the fitness I gained the first time and topped it up while I couldn't run and now I'm enjoying the accrued interest. (I think that analogy got away from me )
Your story is unfortunately very common and the fact that you hit 5k in W7 might have been a predictor of that outcome.
Slow and steady progress through C25K and afterwards, is the best way to avoid injury.
We all need to ask ourselves whether the risky rush is worthwhile, when injury and no running for months is only just the other side of the knife edge.
