Heading out later to do my W3R3..as the running time is increasing next wk should I do some stretching b4 heading out & when I come back in..so far Ive found the 5 min brisk walk sufficient but not sure if it's enough for the weeks ahead? Thanx

I finished week 3 yesterday

I've been doing stretches since I started the app. But that's because I had 6 weeks of physio prior & just stretches she had given me.

Bring on week 4👍😋

I do some dynamic stretches before l run & alway do stretches when I’ve completed my run in the hope it will reduce my chances of injury. Enjoy your weeks ahead, your doing fab👍🏻

You should be doing post run stretches already to be honest. Before running the stretches need to be specific dynamic ones... the post run static ones will make you more vulnerable to injury if done before a run.

I always do some mild stretching before and on rest days and about an hour after the run. I never hold a stretch for more than 8 secs. Try to stretch to the point of discomfort then ease back and hold. I find moving the hips in circular motions helps a lot too.
