Does anyone do any stretches before doing the warm up walk?

Stretching afterwards is considered more important and be careful not to overstretch cold muscles if you do stretch beforehand, although most find the warm up walk enough. It's an individual thing but nearly two years since completing the programme I still gently stretch out my major muscle groups before I head off. It just feels right for me.☺

Not stretches, which I do post run. I do a mini workout before leaving the house and before the warm up walk. High knees, arm swings, hip swings, jump rope without rope, skaters, jumping jacks. Two sets. 30 seconds each for the moves or thereabouts 🙂

In winter it's great as you are good and hot before opening the door to the icy blasts 😩🙂

You should also get into the habit of stretching every day and not just after a run. I've been doing this for about six months and have found a huge difference to my suppleness. Even my physio is pleasantly surprised how bendy I am!

As always, warm up a little first but 10 minutes every day works wonders for your running body 🙂

I do do yoga most days. But not before running. But yeah definitely will start now

Pre run stretches should be dynamic, such as lunges as described above.

No. I do do some very brief dynamic stretching toward the very end of my warm up walk though. And a more thorough lot of dynamic stretches after my cool down walk.
