W5R3 - Didn’t think I could do that !!

20 minutes running. I really didn’t think I could do that. I’ll admit to about 30 seconds walking as I came out of a lit tunnel onto a dark path but other than that it was a solid 20 minutes. So pleased with myself 😊

Great job... some caution needed entering and leaving tunnels, so good call there... that’s the landmark of the runs, like a big skyscraper it stands out... it’s what we signed up to do, just run. Now those runs just have some little steps up to graduation and you got it in the bag. Enjoy week six.

Well done! X

It’s a tough one but have faith. If a fat old bloke like me can do it I’m sure you can too.

Excellent! I vividly remember doing that run. Couldn’t quite believe it when I did it!

Well done TopShot, that run is what they call here on C25K 'a milestone' meaning that it is the first long run without intervals. I graduated back in June, however, after the 5th consolidation post graduation run I developed a sore right hip so that meant I did not do any running for about 6 weeks. I restarted running by recapping most of the runs, this morning it is the turn of W5R3 so I hope after running for 20 minutes there will be no issues with my hip.

I wish you all the luck in the world with the run AlMorr. In my youth many, many years ago, injury saw the end of my adventures on the British Field Archery squad. It’s a bitter pill to swallow. I wouldn’t wish being excluded from something you enjoy by injury on anybody, especially when you’ve already achieved so much. Slow and steady is the way to go. Good luck.

Update TopShot

I completed a rerun of W5R3 this morning between 9.30 and 9.50 without any problems whatsoever, I had Laura this time for company on my new Smartphone When I ran it the first time in May, I had my old Smartphone but no Laura as the phone did not have enough memory for that app. That time I did time my 20-minute run, it was ran at a pace of 08:40/km, this morning I did not pace it but I would think that it was about the same pace.

Well played Alan. Onwards and upwards.

Well this running thing kind of defies logic. How can I go from 2 minutes into a 20 run with ‘there...

Didn’t think I could run after a break but yes I can.

I told myself I’d just do week 6 run 1 so only have to run for a short while before a walk break Do

I didn’t think it was possible to get slower!

wisdom please (again 🥴) .. My fourth consolidation run was just awful: definitely the hardest run...

W5r3 can I do this. Really!!!

Just ran w5 run 2 and physically manage but am dreading how I'll mentally do 20 minutes. Have been...

W5R3 is looming! Can I do it?!

So, how hard is run 3; the 20 minute run? I've never jogged longer than the 8 minutes I did today...
