Struggling with breathing rythmn W8r2

Finding that I need to stop for about 30 seconds twice during the run to sort out my breathing. Has anyone any tips on good breathing techniques as I find I haven't got a good natural rythmn and panic a bit which makes it worse. I think I scare people when running by my breathing sounds so bad!!

I used to have the same problem . I'm sure others will have some fantastic breathing tips but I found the more I tried to concentrate on it the worse I got . I stopped thinking about it and just concentrated more on my music or taking in what's happening around me surroundings life in general etc and it just seemed to happen naturally .

Your probably right, I run for a bit, am ok then I think ooh my breathings ok and the next think I gasping for air!! I think I've now turned it into a bigger issue then it actually was!!

That's exactly what I was doing it really does seem to work itself out so now I just run and enjoy a bit of me time 😉

Me too. Whenever I think about breathing I panic and can't breathe.

I’m with Kerry in this one... find a way to stop thinking about it, concentrate on music, a podcast, planning for Christmas, whatever... you’ll find other things sort themselves out while you’re distracted.

Stopped worrying about mine. I use to try & breath in through my nose & out through my mouth. I’m now a converted mouth breather. Do what ever feels natural for you & stop over thinking it 👍🏻
