W2 R1 never done anything like this before. Have always said I don't run, so this is a real challenge. Only my hubby, sons and a few long distance friends know I'm doing this haven't even told my best friend! Doing this to help mentally as struggling and need a focus.

Me too kinda. Doc suggested it, struggling with an elderly parent at the moment & hoping it’s going to ease the stress as well as get fit/lose a few kg
So similar to me I'm also suffering with an elderly parent who is just draining me.....
It’s tough isn’t it. Hopefully this will help us to help ourselves.....
And me. I haven't had time to run through the summer. Both parents with dementia now in a care home, so I don't have to rush up there every day as I know someone is taking care of them - phew. First proper run in ages yesterday and boy! do I ache today! You're doing the right thing by becoming a runner - brilliant way to get headspace when the world around you is crazymad.

Benefit: after decades in gym, alpin and crosscountry skiing, my legs have never been as toned as they're now (I'm at w4). Elderly mum.... half an hour without thinking of nothing but running and walking 😘
