Tight calves. Wk6r1

Soooo the breathing while running bit seems to be the easy bit. My calves are ok before and after but seem tighter while running any one else ? Ps might have cheated and left week 5 our cos it seemed ok and not too hard......

Me too - did some stretches when I got back but my calf was tight for last 5-10 mins, and can feel its still tight. Reading up it’s possibly dehydration - need to drink more before I go out but then worry about needing loo when I’m out running. Dilemma :-(

Ha ha yep, I did down a pint of water before I went out but it’s probably not got time to work😂.

More hydration and more stretching needed oh and this is what can happen if you don’t stick to the programme !

You’re probably at the extent of your calf muscles fitness, which is a dangerous place to be... I’d do week 5.

Don’t cheat, no 1 rule! The programme is designed by people who know what they’re doing, and each run builds you up for the next. 👍

You risk injury. Honestly, it’s not worth skipping rest days/runs/weeks.

Sounds like you need some gentle stretching for those right calves. Good luck! 😀

so back to week 5 it is and after a bit of yoga feeling ok! It’s hard when you find something good to restrain yourself, you don’t want to see me with biscuits 😁
