Hit the wall

Finished w5 and started w6. Suddenly started to struggle on these two runs and didn't enjoy them at all.

Me too! Apparently its really common. I’ve gone back to repeat week 5 which i’m actually enjoying. I hope i then sail through week 6!

Ahh, the bogey week! This is really common and I too have just finished week 6. I found R1 of W6 really hard despite knowing it had caught people out and preparing myself mentally for it! I’ve now done R3 which is a continuous run and although it was still with its challenges it was more enjoyable.

I would say no need to repeat any runs if you’ve completed them as they are all preparing you for the next run!

It’s a funny old week, but you’re past the worst of it if you’ve done the first two runs. I too struggled with the first, even knowing how it caught people out, the second is also tricky, I struggled to get past the first 10, second was smooth. For me both of these runs are about pacing discipline, in the running and the walking. Looking back at them, “not fun, but done” is all I think.

Now for some just running... that’s more fun, and you’re ready for it.

Yeah, week 6... To me its main purpose is to make us realise that intervals are actually harder on the legs than continuous running, and less enjoyable. I didn't like runs 1 and 2 either !
