Don't get hung up on 5k during the program.

Jyst a little message to anyone who is getting demotivated by thinking they need to get to 5k within 9 weeks. I graduated about three weeks ago I never made it to 5k within the program only the 30 mins running continuously. Since then I have actually ran 5k about nine times and got my time down from 43 for my first 5k to 34 minutes today ( had to dig deep believe me !) Don't get hung up on numbers like pace and time during the course get the 9 weeks done, give yourself a huge pat on the back then work on your personal goals after...my friend wanted to get sub 30 minutes for 5k it took him 18 months but he did it. Don't be too hard on yourself..run...get fitter and enjoy 👍

Well done, but don't try to beat your pb on every run. 75 to 80% of your running should be at an easy pace.

That's good advice. It's a bit of a cliche I know but we're all on our own journey and we will get there in our own time. thank you.

Good to know. It does sound to me like we run 5k by the end of week 9 but since starting the app I realised that was never going to happen! I think your idea is good, do the 30 mins and then worry about the distance.

I’m in it to get out the house and ito fresh air for 30mins and if i can run in that time then great! Not bothered in the slightest about the distance covered. Just being out is an achievement in itself!
