Yay, back in it!

Finally feeling back in the game. Had two weeks of feeling totally over-stretched and strung out with work, and just couldn’t fit my runs in. I knew running would probably have helped, but it was all I could do to squeeze in eating dinner and flipping into bed. I was starting to feel a bit glum about it all, but I’ve now run twice, completed week 7 🙌, and am feeling mentally positive about it again. Delighted to find I hadn’t really lost any condition in those two weeks, though I purposefully took it easy.

My run today was also my first trail run in shiny new trail shoes. They were lovely 😊

Oh, I should also say, I completed the run 25 miles in August challenge. Received medal and top last week from Race at Your Own Pace (I think!) really please with both 😀

Great job. Two weeks off is good sometimes. Must have been good to set off again. Trail running is where I figure I’ll go eventually, I don’t like the roads.

Enjoy week 8

Seriously, you taunt us with new shoes, and you haven't given us a picture? For shame! 😂 Glad they worked their magic for you, and also all those endorphins will make everything seem better again. We can't always run when we want to, but a week or two off won't affect your fitness noticeably. I predict you'll smash week 8 😊
