I did it! The third run of Week 9 done and dusted. Still can't really believe I can 'run' (well, jog really) for 30 minutes but feeling pretty chuffed with myself - if I can do it, anyone can! So a big thank you to Michael Johnson and all you lovely people on here who have given me as a reader such encouragement and support through their posts; I haven't written many posts but have been very active lurking and have made the promise to contribute more as I will definitely be carrying on running and I love being part of this forum.
I'm feeling a little disappointed I couldn't manage to get to 4k in my final run - my distances according to Endomondo were 3.94k (R1), 3.84k (R2) and 3.95k (R3) so tantalisingly close but there just wasn't enough left in the tank to go any faster at the end
So now looking forward to continuing to run 3 times a week and consolidating; first of all reaching that elusive 4k and then aiming for 5k - distance over speed at the moment I think ...

Brilliant. Well done you. Being able to run for 30 minutes without stopping is a huge achievement on its own, so don't worry too much about the distance or speed yet. Just keep doing it and you'll find over the next few months that both improve. Happy running!
First run yesterday Started writing a post but then deleted it as it was really boring! Managed just over 5k but it took me 52 minutes Stop start all the way and I feel like I've been sledgehammered today!
Stop start is fine, being out there is what matters! Take it steady, I am hovering on 2.5k to 3.5k at the mo due to getting over my sore knees. We will both be back fully in no time πππΌββοΈ
I'm nearly there. 2 runs to go .Wednesday and Friday this week.eek I can't wait .I will be having wine to celebrate ha .enjoy your much deserved chocolate .πππ«ππ·
Thank you. Amazingly I do feel like a 'Real Runner' now . Really looking forward to my first post-grad run tomorrow. A 30 min 'consolidating' run is on the cards I think.
