Managed first Park run Saturday - 34m 57s. Pretty chuffed for a first attempt. Still trying to run3 x a week. Try to do 2x 5 k and one 30 min run. Not sure how I will manage through the winter though π±

Youβll probably cope with it ether than the heat! Very impressive time for first parkrun.

Hey nice time! Very well done. πππ I did my first one last weekend too and loved every moment (even the pesky hills!) Mine wasnβt as quick as yours as Iβm a total π
Canβt wait for the next one but canβt do this weekend. Boo.
Have fun! πππββοΈπββοΈ

Winter parkrun should be fine, just more Lycra, a bobble hat,a waterproof and occasionally muddy shoes. It is the weekday training runs when it is dark etc that are more of a problem. Many move indoors onto a treadmill or run with friends. I'm lucky in that I can choose my work hours so I tend to run in the middle of the day.
The Post parkrun coffee also seems much better in the winter for some reason.
