Hi just about to start , how does everyone find it?

Most people are staggered to find that they really enjoy C25K and can't wait for the next run.

It changes lives............ honestly!

Running changes your brain chemistry and for most this means feeling better about themselves.

This is how I found it...

Run 1... oh my god I’m gonna die.

Run 2... ok, maybe I can do this, maybe, big maybe.

Run 3... yes, I can do this... but week 2 is a 50% step up (it isn’t but I thought it was) so there’s no way I can do this.

Week 2

Run 1... why am I doing this to myself, do I need to know at what level I’ll actually have a heart attack so badly

Run 2... actually, I can do this

Run 3... I will do this if it kills me (I didn’t get me dying trying out of my head just yet)

Week 3... can’t remember the run... yes, I’m back, I used to run, I can run, I’m getting so much stronger, I quite like this.

Then I got to I’m loving this.

My dodgy knees slowed the above down a little.

You can do this... lace those shoes and go and do run one... go slow, then slow down and just do it.

Never thought I could do it either but take it slow and steady. You can always repeat runs until you feel ready to move on but it is really worth sticking with it. Good luck

I’m just starting week two... so three runs in and loving it! Looking forward to my morning run tomorrow. Get out that front door and enjoy it Maxshac 👍

I’ve just started too and 1:1 was really painful for me. Not that I actually ran at all ! The thing is, I was hopeless at running when I was 15 and I’m more than 30 years older now, so my expectations are more realistic. I want to encourage my own kids to develop healthy lifestyles and this is part of that. I hope you can also find reasons to carry on that will get you through. I must say the encouragement from the C25k community is fab !
