While running, I feel no discomfort at all, but yesterday while completing the cool down walk, my Achilles felt a little tight and uncomfortable - I’m wearing ASICS Trounce gel trainers because I tend to overpronate - they’re not the newest but seems to be plenty wear in them - any advice welcome

You will feel niggles and it’s par for the course when you’re new to exercise As we get stronger we lose the niggles

Some shoes rub Our Achilles more than others. I like a shoe with either no heel counter or the softest one I can find I also fold over the tab in my running shoe to minimise rub and smear Vaseline on the Achilles before putting my sock on

The Achilles has a lot of work to do so exercises can help, eg calf raises with heel drops, footlifts, lunges etc.

Just do the sessions very slowly. No rush 🙂
