After a bank holiday in work today eating cake (work friend turned 40) plus a chocolate tea cake at 11ish, I wasn't looking forward to tonight as I felt sluggush, however I've got to admit I really enjoyed it. Maybe cake is the way to go........

Cake, as long as it’s at least a couple of hours before a run, can be excellent fuel, the fact it’s yummy is a bonus! Good run, very well done. Enjoy the next.

Chips work... just not nipping into the chippy in the middle of a run 😂

Slow you down a bit did it or did you jog on the spot?

Eating anything during a run would have killed me... hats off to the ultra runners who have to... no way I could keep it down and carry on. The guy who said I couldn’t do a marathon just needs a stall half way round with Stilton and crackers on and he’d be right! Same food the night before... that’s fuel.

Cake, there's a chap here on C25K that loves to eat cake, bit surprised that he has not given you any advice regarding the eating of cake, but yes I would advise you not eat any cake for at least two hours before any runs.
