Blah!

After a weekend of wine and Chinese takeaway last night, plus running outside and feeling like a failure - got on treadmill for what should have been W6R3. But after 1 min running I just wanted to give up. Had no mental strength to keep me going. Ran for about 5 mins before giving up. Put treadmill on an incline and walked for 30 mins. Wonder if it’s all the rubbish I’ve ate and drank? Going to start some classes I think to get my strength up. 🙁

Wine will have dehydrated you if you didn’t take in water as well. Hydration makes a huge difference. Chinese probably not as harmful, may have even been decent fuel.

Chalk it up to experience and go again.

I have found booze definitely has an effect on my run the next day...you have made it all the way to the end of week 6 so there is no doubt you can do it 👍 We all have weak mental days , take a couple of days off and the night before next run have a healthy meal drink loads of water , get a early night then go and kick run 3's ass 😉

Awww don’t let it get you down Clare. Almost certainly dehydration. Some runs are simply not destined to go well, and it sounds like you had yours today. 🙄

Brush yourself off, rehydrate, get yourself pumped up again and go out and nail that run. You know you can do it don’t you? Come on, we’re cheering you on!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Thanks cheeky, I don’t think I am going myself any favours running on treadmill - it’s so boring. Might go back a couple of weeks and start proper running outside
