I’m on W7R2 next, so I’ve done the 25 minute run twice now. I’m finishing them OK, even putting a little “sprint” in at the end. Trouble is my times (I.e. speeds) seem to be getting progressively slower. Should I go back and do some speed work, or is that better left until post graduation?

You’re doing great... get to graduation and then you’ll have more stamina to do the speed work

Post graduation. Speed doesn't matter. Just the 30 min runs. As slow as you need to! 🐌🐌

Definitely wait until your post-grad runs. Speed isn’t important! I like saying that because I graduated on August 10th and I’m still a happy 🐌🐌 😀😀

Yep that happened to me as well. Got progressively slower during weeks 6 and 7 then had to take a week’s break after W8R1. I had been running every second day for three weeks though in the hottest part of the summer. My pace has picked up again since graduation - close to the speed I was doing for the three minute runs in week 3 in fact. But I was 2 or 3 minutes per km slower than that in week 7. Not by choice, I simply couldn’t sustain a faster pace at that stage.

As you increase duration you inevitably have to pace yourself to complete the run.
Speed will come when you consolidate your duration, after graduation.
You are doing great.

This is happening to me too, but like ArthurJG I have been running every other day in some pretty hot temperatures. My legs feel really tired.
Thanks for asking the question and all the best with the running x
Thanks for all the advice. Much appreciated. I’ll carry on plodding!
