So today I went for my 3rd post-grad run and decided to do the βFull 4kβ which I knew would take me slightly longer than 30 minutes at my π pace.
I was making good progress running my familiar route, and I was pleased when MapMyRun lady piped up that Iβd done 3.75km and I was on just under 28 minutes, so for me ok.
There was a man walking along my chosen path, a tiny bit slower than I was running (π) and I passed him like one of those lorries overtaking another on the motorway which is going 2mph slower! Still I made it past and felt quite pleased.
My dog then decided to answer a call of nature and ground to a halt. I have her on one of those waist-attached running leads and I could feel the resistance from behind. Really? Now? So not only did I have to stop to pick it up (luckily right by a bin), but I had to pass the man again! π©π©π© Cringe!!
I probably only stopped running for 20 seconds, so I ran on beyond the 4k mark to make it up. I did 4.18km, which is my longest run to date! ππ Iβve decided to continue doing 2 x 30 minute runs per week plus a 4k one until itβs below 30 minutes, then Iβll start upping the time on that run. Kind of makes sense to me!
Happy running all you lovely folk! πββοΈπππ
