On my days off the Run I’ve started planking starting off with 30 seconds and building up to 2mins which doesn’t sound long but omg do you shake πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Planking is very good torture. The Nike app has some twists to put on it in case you’re not hurting enough already!

It’s great for core stability but I do swear at my phone when it comes up... I’d rather do 50 press-ups!

I started the elbow and full plank exercises about a year before I started the C25K training program, I am sure it did help me a lot with my running. Press ups and sit ups are good as well. Several Youtube plank videos around that I do in the morning before breakfast, I recommend "The Three-Minute Perfect Plank Workout with Tom Holland" length of video 3.39, or "7 minute Plank Challenge", length of video 9.35 good for the core stability they say.
