Looking below it looks as though I should be completely resting on rest days. I play netball Monday’s and Wednesdays which involves running and training. From September I will have netball Monday Wednesday and Saturday so should I try and run on these days so my rest days are rest days ??

I had to use a little google here... I’ve never played netball. A netball couch says distance running isn’t good conditioning for netball. Once conditioned as a runner it looks like excellent speed work for running to me, but not sure how compatible it would be for beginners. That said if you’re a seasoned netball player you may have the muscle conditioning already to have less rest days. I’m also not sure if netball builds slow twitch fibers, which is the C25K way, I think it may be more fast twitch fibers, similar to sprinting. Not sure I’m much help! Linky at the bottom.
I’m sure some of the more experienced distance runners here may have more definitive thoughts on this.
You need your rest days, so yes, try to run and play netball on the same days. Low impact activities like walking or cycling are ok, but I think netball involves a lot or running about! Good luck!
