I’ve just joined and would like to get a lot fitter than I am now I have been diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism and am having a consultation with a surgeon today so thee may be an interruption to any routine I start now. Nevertheless I know if I keep putting off doing this it may never happen. Looking for some moral support and encouragement here.

The very best of luck for your consultation. The thing to remember about C25K is that although the programme is organised in weeks, you don't have to do each 'week' in an actual calendar week, so breaks are ok. Have fun and happy running!

Thank you, Mike

Fingers crossed for you, that’s the beauty of this programme you can tailor it to fit your lifestyle. just remember to always have a rest day if you need two then take two, slow and steady it’s not a race until you want it to be one. Good luck on both counts. X

Starting is the hardest bit, once you've done that bit just fit a run in whenever suits, every time you get out there is a bonus and an achievement regardless of how often you do it, good luck to you and keep positive! X

Thank you Emmajane. Yes, I’m still trying to work out how to carry my phone while I run, and find some headphones that don’t just drop out of the jack because of the protective case. I see what you mean about starting being the hardest bit.

I've got an arm band phone carrier and just treated myself to a pair of wireless Bluetooth ear phone's, Mpow ones only £17 from Amazon and they stay put! I was fed up with my wired ones keep flapping about and falling out of my ears!
