W8R2 - slayed a herd of gremlins! πŸ’ͺ🏻

Nasty. I was in two minds whether to add an extra rest day, as my husband and I walked almost 4 hours up a mountain yesterday, bottom to top! My legs felt it later.

However, we’re leaving here tomorrow morning really early, and I didn’t want the run to be a) in the dark or b) too rushed, so I stuck with today.

I had an entire family of gremlins attacking me from every angle for the first 7 minutes, but whereas in the past they’d have won, today they did not. I got β€˜em good and proper and completed my 28 minutes. It was dead slow, but I did it. No wayyyy was I going to walk!

So back to the UK for R3. The gremlins will not be accompanying me! πŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ’ͺ🏻

Happy running guys! πŸŒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒπŸ˜€

Great stuff cheekychipmunks I know there are great physical benefits to the programme but gremlin slaying is right up there along with those, I am sure many of us recognise the difference in mental attitude between the earlier and later weeks of the programme. All credit to you for pushing through those difficult first minutes and completing your run.

Oh yes mental attitude is huge, and this programme instills this in us all! I know I wouldn’t have kept going without the app - and I didn’t want to disappoint MJ! He said β€˜you must be feeling good now’, and I told him I wasn’t but I’d keep going. I didn’t want to break my promise!

This forum helps to, that’s for sure! ❀️

Great job. Who’d have thought those snails could climb a mountain and then kick gremlin butt? Bet you’ll love this rest period!

Haha, oh yes I will! We’re driving from Bavaria to Calais over 2 days, and my snails and I will be doing nothing! πŸ˜€πŸŒπŸ˜€

Great post! I love a good gremlin-kicking post (although I'm not a violent person 🀣) Well done you, for sticking with it, believing in yourself and proving yourself right! πŸ™ŒπŸ‘ŠπŸ™Œ

Thank you! I don’t agree with violence either, but I make exceptions with horseflies, ticks, mosquitoes and now gremlins!

I’m so pleased I soldiered on, leaving injured gremlins in my wake! πŸ˜…

Thanks so much, it felt satisfying completing it. It was my hardest run of th me whole programme.

My legs can rest until Saturday now!

It’s strange how some runs are harder than others isn’t it? All builds our stamina and determination though I guess 😊

Definitely. No pain, no gain! πŸ’ͺ🏻

YahπŸ‘πŸ˜. Great job. I’m thinking of just trying to run later on today after work because it’s driving me crazy not working out πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ. Just hope my twisted ankle holds up.

You know the mantra, cheeseheads. Maybe take it even slower and steadier and see how it feels? Good luck! πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸ»

Thanks Crawlhome, we’ve had a wonderful time, albeit really hot! It’ll be interesting to see how my home route feels after a coupl of weeks away. I’m hoping the gremlins will remain here in Germany! πŸ˜…
