W5 has three different runs I was horrified to see it was 20mins on R3 really didn’t think I would do it especially after way too much Rioja last night..... but we nailed it again, cannot underestimate the power of the support from number 2 son. Felt so good afterwards, even if I don’t get to 5k I am so pleased to be able to be out running, breathing hard and not caring what other people think, some ‘proper’ runners even said hello this morning and I was even able to reply🤠

I was PETRIFIED about that run, but as everyone on here says "Trust in the programme" (and yourself!). I was nowhere near 5K when I finished the programme but I'm running 3 times a week and getting faster. Did 5K today for the 1st time today and in 36.02, which I am RIDICULOUSLY pleased with (although next time I will be faster even if I just shave off those pesky 2s!)
Don't be fooled by "shorter" runs in week 6 - you are building up running time so take it easy.

How did you get on with your W5R3?
I did it, but it was stupid hot! Sadly my runs end up being in the afternoons and that day was particularly full on sun! Made it hard for myself haha! This week I've done better. Run 1 I went to a more shaded path and that was great. Today I did Run 2 on a treadmill with the fan on haha! The treadmill is my backup, I don't want to use that as a regular thing so this is only my second time on it. Looking forward to getting out there for the next one. I feel really good after running!
