Love it. Moved to Swansea in October 1990. It rained every day until Christmas.

Bargains always nice! There has been a heatwave since I started 5 weeks ago, but I found myself thinking ahead yesterday to rainy normality up in t'hills of Derbyshire and I have the perfect jacket gathering dust somewhere! Really happy to have thought of it because I won't have to buy anything.....errrrm except I might be due some more shoes by then...! (hahaha!)

I always tell my friends from the states before they visit, Derbyshire may be the most landlocked county in the UK but don’t worry you’ll see plenty of water... they look disappointed when they see it!

I absolutely love Derbyshire, it is totally beautiful, varied and quiet. Some amazing places to get away from it all and attempt learning to run! As for the rain...just need the right gear and then get out there and enjoy it all anyway! Certainly plenty of water but its all looking a bit low right now haha!

Yeah, the people of Manchester are drinking too much of our lovely Derbyshire corporation pop. Finding flat places to start running is the challenge around here.

I've been going to the Monsal, Tissington and High Peak trails. I know not everyone would have the luxury of time to drive somewhere nice to run but they've been fantastic and exceeeeeeeedingly flat! Invested in an annual parking pass as that was a bargain! My other half goes off on a bike ride and I do my run and then sit around feeling happy until he gets back! :-)

I’m hitting the Woodhead trail... constant but slight uphill on the way out, for some reason I enjoy the run more after the bell lol

That is on our list of places to visit! I've stopped off at the car park for picnics once or twice on route to other places but not been on the trail. Looking forward to that!

Ey up! Derbyshire gal meself

Ron Hill stuff is fab. My fave run capris are Ronhill cargo trail tights. Pockets aplenty for stashing phone, sweets, key, hankie, specs. I have some gorgeous winter weight tights too, that are thicker and brushed on the inside. I never wanna take em off. Lots of reflective stuff on them too
